'Chortle' is our family sailing boat since 2016. She is a Sadler 29, with bilge keels, twin skinned and polyurethane filled hull (apparently unsinkable) and was built in 1984. She has received considerable amounts of work in her refurbishment from dad and we now enjoy taking most of our holidays on her in the waters of the west coast of scotland.

Reflections
Reflecting on our summer cruise this year, it has over all been a great success, we have all had magic moments sometime specific to individuals but also together, like witnessing Hilarious carry 5 children under sail at up to 5.5 knots down the length of Loch Sunart.

Big windy clouds
Dark impressive clouds but no rain thankfully but created lots of wind down the sound of mull yesterday. After what seems most of trip so far we have had the wind on our nose, no wind or to much. Hummm. And a cert young female of the crew has for no reason we can understand, become scared of the sails going up and the boat tipping. Not sure what i have done wrong or what has happened, to change her mind. After lots of reassurance we have negotiated to sail little and often with an agreement that it is to improve. I have given the children responsability to passage plan now and they seem much engaged with this and getting it more or less worked out correctly, although it takes a long time to find a consensus.
